Here are some of the photos I took during my travels around the world. I’m traveling quite a lot and one of the aspects of traveling that I love, is taking photos. Every time I look at them, I recall the beautiful moments, people and places.

Buenos Aires

I went to Buenos Aires during my visit to Montevideo International Film Festival in Uruguay. Buenos Aires is one of the most beautiful cities I’ve been too. It reminded me of Paris. I call it “Paris of Latin America”. It’s a huge city of 17 million people. Buenos Aires is very close to Montevideo, so I took the ferryboat and wandered around the city just for one day.

Austria

Alpinale

I went to Austria during my visit to Alpinale International Film Festival. Austria has breathtaking landscapes and life seems to move on a different kind of scale. I have eaten the best burgers in my life...

Bahrain

City

I went to Bahrain during my return from India. I just stayed for one night because of the connecting flight back to Athens. I was so tired that I didn’t go outside my hotel room at all... I’d like to revisit though someday.

Brazil

Rio, Airport

I went to Brazil during my return from Uruguay. Unfortunately, the plane stopped in Rio de Janeiro just for 2 hours. I will definitely visit Brazil someday.

Czech Republic

I went to Czech Republic as a guest of the Brno 16 International Film Festival. It’s a beautiful mixture of the old “Eastern block” style and the Western influence. Very nice atmosphere and lovely food.

Denmark

Copenhagen

I went to Copenhagen during my visit to the Fantastisk Film Festival in Sweden. It’s 20 minutes by train over the Oresund bridge. Copenhagen is very beautiful, with fantastic architecture. Too bad I stayed just for one day. It’s worth revisiting.

Cairo

I went to Cairo to visit my good friend Evris Papanikolas, who lives there and works as a TV commercials director. I imagined Cairo to be different than it is. It’s an amazingly beautiful city that will become one of my favorite destinations. The Nile is just breathtaking. The flies are annoying and the heat is unbearable. Loved it!

France

Paris

I went to Paris to sign the contracts for the distribution of my first 2 short films and also to visit my good friend Alexandros Kollatos, who lives and works there as a feature film director and actor. What can I say about Paris? It’s simply the most beautiful city on earth! I wouldn’t mind living there for the rest of my life...

Greece

Pilio

I went to Pilio twice and for the same reason. To shoot a TV commercial with the famous Greek singer Antonis Remos. The scenery is amazing and so is the food!

Santorini

I went to Santorini also twice and for the same reason. To shoot feature films. The first time was for “Tomb Raider II: The Cradle Of Life” with Angelina Jolie and director Jan de Bont. Angelina was very “human” and didn’t act at all like a “star”. I loved the experience. The second time was for “Che Ne Sara Di Noi”, an Italian hit with director Giovanni Veronesi. Santorini island is unique and breathtakingly beautiful. My favorite Greek island!

India

Trivandrum

India is simply the best trip I have done in my life. I visited India for the screening of “Anastasia” in the Kerala International Film Festival. Check out my article about India in the corresponding section of this website. I will definitely revisit!

Liechtenstein

Vaduz

I went to Vaduz during my trip to Austria. I took the bus and arrived in beautiful Vaduz in 20 minutes. Amazing landscape and nice atmosphere.

Oman

Muscat

I went to Oman during my trip to India. Different kind of landscape and nice people. Unfortunately, I stayed there just for 6 hours. I’d like to revisit.

Spain

Madrid

I went to Madrid during my trip to Uruguay. I spend one day in Madrid and liked it a lot. Great locations for shooting!

Sweden

I went to Sweden as a guest of the Fantastisk Film Festival in Lund. It’s one of my favorite trips and I made a lot of good friends there. The landscape is amazing, as is the architecture of the buildings. Of course I’d like to revisit!

Switzerland

Vaduz

It’s the third time I visited Switzerland but every time, for some strange reason, I don’t take too many photos... Maybe it’s so beautiful that I want to keep for myself! The first two times was to visit my good friend Piotr Jaxa, who lives and works as a director of photography in Switzerland and used to be a close collaborator of Krzysztof Kieslowski. The third time was during my trip to Austria. I flew to Zurich, then took the train to Austria and enjoyed the magnificent view on the train.

Thailand

Amazing Thailand! As the slogan of the Tourist Authority says, you just can’t help falling in love with the country and it’s people. I was a guest of the Bangkok International Film Festival and I had an amazing time, making a lot of friends.

Uruguay

I went to Uruguay as a guest of the Montevideo International Film Festival. I had a great time there and met some interesting people from Latin and Central America. It’s a trip that I certainly want to repeat someday.
